I believe that God has a purpose for all of us, and I’m blessed to have found mine through photography. I love capturing special moments in my clients’ lives and creating genuine, happy memories with every session.
Some couples walk into your life, and you instantly hit it off. That’s Sophia and Terrell for me.
I met Sophia back in 2021 when she signed up for my very first Christmas mini sessions. I had just started my business two months earlier, and she has shown up to every single Christmas mini since.
I always say she’s been my biggest fan since day one, because it’s so, so, true. In 2022, she introduced me to her boyfriend Terrell and from the moment they arrived, it was like the three of us clicked. Fast forward to June 2024, Terrell messaged me to plan an engagement session and I was ecstatic! Not just because he wanted me to photograph this special time in their life, but because I was genuinely so happy for the two of them!
And then, a few days later… Sophia sent me the funniest message:
“How does one request engagement photos before her boyfriend proposes?”
I laughed to myself because she knew I was expecting my first baby in October, and wanted to be sure we could fit photos in before my maternity leave. Meanwhile, Terrell had it all already planned out.
I played along and pretended to book something with her until Terrell finally cracked and told her to stop messaging me since he had it “all under control.” 🤣
It’s one of my favorite pre-proposal stories ever.

Sophia and Terrell’s wedding was picture-perfect and filled with a whole lot of laughter.
The church for the ceremony was stunning and Portage Point itself was so beautiful. The perfect mix of classic, serene, and scenic. I spent the morning doing “getting ready” photos with the girls while Karly was with the guys.
One of Terrell’s only requests for photos? Game-day photos. He wanted photos of the bus like they were entering a stadium. And let me just say, they delivered.
The actual ceremony took place at the most breathtaking Catholic church. It was traditional, heartfelt, and full of love.
Before heading to the reception, Sophia and Terrell had one of the cutest and silliest moments of the entire day, a ceremony for their pup Mari to officially change her last name.
The officiant, Mateo, was a boy Sophia used to babysit who took it so seriously. It was iconic and everyone was cracking up the entire time!
The reception was amazing, and I expected nothing less, especially when Parker is hired as the DJ. You just know the dance floor will be packed the moment the doors open.
Sophia and Terrell even body surfed (yes, really!) and Sophia’s brother ended up in multiple dance battles with Parker which was so much fun.
Everywhere I looked, someone was laughing, spinning, or hugging the entire night. It was the kind of celebration that feels like a perfect representation of the couple and the people they love. A perfect day for a couple who truly deserve it, and a day that felt like the sweetest full-circle moment.
Congrats Sophia and Terrell!
