I believe that God has a purpose for all of us, and I’m blessed to have found mine through photography. I love capturing special moments in my clients’ lives and creating genuine, happy memories with every session.
I am so excited to share this engagement session with you all. It’s another cold one folks, but as per usual…it’s ALWAYS worth it!
Erica and Shane met at Ferris State University nearly thirteen years ago. Erica said, “we couldn’t stand each other when we first met.” But I’m sure I’m not the first to say that I am so glad that initial impression didn’t last because they are absolutely wonderful together!
After their time at Ferris, they lost touch, but met once again when Erica moved back to Traverse City. They quickly bonded over bonfires on the beach, visiting wineries and local breweries, playing card games, hiking, and going to the casino. Shane proposed during the sunset in July while they were having a bonfire at the beach. How romantic!
Erica and Shane booked me for their wedding this fall at Crystal Lake Golf Course, and opted to include an engagement session as well. A perfect choice if you want to get to know me before your big day! Once they were booked, I sent them my Location Guides to give them a taste of what Northern Michigan has to offer when it comes to beautiful photo sessions.
Erica wanted a winter engagement session and originally thought I was crazy when she saw a Lake Michigan beach in my Location Guide. However, once she saw another winter beach engagement session I had done, she decided that the beach was actually the perfect location for her and Shane, even in the winter!
I cannot find better words to describe this engagement session with Erica and Shane other than, “it was a complete hoot!”
They are seriously so much fun and laughed throughout nearly the entire session. Erica has a fear of being dropped and we quickly learned that slick leggings make piggybacks nearly impossible. Many of the piggyback shots we ended up with are of Erica cracking up while sliding down Shane’s back.
