Amanda and Jon met on Hinge in January 2022 and quickly bonded over their love for the outdoors and all things hunting. Jon even said knew he was going to marry Amanda after their second date, a total meant-to-be moment!

Amanda’s friends, Emily and Patrick, found me a couple years back when they booked a Christmas mini-session with me at Robinson Family Christmas Tree Farm.

Then in November 2022, Amanda, Jon, Emily, and Patrick hired me to do a beach photoshoot, my first time meeting Amanda and Jon. While photographing them I remember thinking, “I have a feeling they’ll be engaged soon.” They just vibed together so well!

About a month later, Jon proposed and, as expected, Amanda said “yes!” The couple shares two dogs, Oakley and Riggs, and for the proposal, Jon put a bandana on Riggs that said, “Mommy will you marry daddy?” While Amanda was reading it, Jon was behind her on one knee with Amanda’s dream ring! Shoutout to Miner’s North!

The Importance of “Word of Mouth” in the World of Photography

After the engagement, they booked me for a family session, an engagement session, and to shoot their wedding! All because Amanda’s friend Emily introduced us.

Amanda and Jon chose to have their engagement session at Esch Beach, and it was BEAUTIFUL! Some of the beach was iced over with icicles forming in the sand. It doesn’t get much better than that! Their wedding will also take place at another beautiful location, Crystal Mountain, on May 19, 2023.
